Connor Bamford

Connor has been involved with cetacean research over the past five years and has recently completed his MPhil degree at the University of Cambridge, where he worked with supervisors at the British Antarctic Survey and the Scott Polar Research Institute to explore and model the spatial distribution of baleen whales in Eastern Antarctica. Prior to involvement with Antarctic cetaceans, Connor completed his BSc degree in Environmental Sciences at the University of Southampton where his thesis applied photo-id techniques on common dolphin to determine the extent, morphology and geographic variation in dorsal edge markings. Connor joins SAERI as an assistant on the “Dolphins of the kelp: Data priorities for Falklands’ inshore cetaceans” project.
